- There are two ways you can run Thomas Regional on CD-ROM within
- a network environment:
- 1) Copying the entire contents of the Thomas Regional CD to a
- mapped network drive/directory. 2) Running the Thomas Regional
- CD from a mapped network CD-ROM drive. Thomas Regional on CD-ROM
- will only run when a drive letter on the user's local machine is
- mapped to this network resource.
-
-
- 1. Copying and running Thomas Regional on CD-ROM from a network
- drive/directory
-
- First, copy the entire contents of the Thomas Regional CD to a
- network drive/directory of your choice. Be sure to map a drive
- letter on the user's local machine to the network drive where the
- Thomas Regional on CD-ROM files are located. The user can then
- run SETUP.EXE from that network directory.
-
- During the installation, click on the network installation option
- and provide SETUP with the shared network user directory. (i.e.
- G:\TRENDSHR (default)) This directory need not be the same as the
- Thomas Regional CD directory, but should be the same for all users
- across the network.
-
- The user may now run Thomas Regional on CD-ROM from the program
- group created locally during installation.
